Shane Keirns: From Service to Scenic Journeys

Shane Keirns, a retired disabled veteran, has transformed his passion for travel into a fulfilling career as a travel agent. After dedicating years in service to his country, Shane faced the challenges of transitioning to civilian life with resilience and determination.

Despite the physical and emotional hurdles of his post-service life, Shane discovered a new purpose in helping others explore the world. His military experience has provided him with a unique perspective on travel, emphasizing meticulous planning and attention to detail. He uses these skills to craft unforgettable travel experiences for his clients.

Shane specializes in organizing tailored travel itineraries that cater to the needs and interests of fellow veterans and their families. His personal journey from the battlefield to the travel industry has equipped him with a deep understanding of the specific requirements and considerations that come with traveling as a veteran. Shane had severe PTSD that was triggered being around the ocean and onboard any type of boat or ship due to his experiences during Desert Shield/Storm. After short family vacations to the beach and careful consideration Shane and his wife decided to go on their first cruise in 2023. Since then, Shane and his wife have been hooked. These trips have really helped with Shane’s PTSD through Exposure Therapy. 

Today, Shane thrives on creating memorable adventures that honor and celebrate the spirit of exploration. He believes that travel can be a powerful tool for healing and connection, and he is committed to making travel accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their service-related hurdles. 

In his free time, Shane enjoys spending time with his family and exploring new destinations. His story is a testament to the power of resilience and the endless possibilities that await when one is willing to embrace change and pursue their passions.
